Not at all -- tabs are essentially other full-size pages, whereas Bitty integrates remote content *within* any regular page.
Tabs are great when you want to switch between a handful of full-size pages, and the selection of tabbed pages are under the control of the end-user.
Bitty is great when you want to browse content within a page, without having to open additional full-size windows or tabs. And, the default contents of the Bitty browser is selected by the person who adds it to his/her site.
