Amazing! Works as advertized! Exactly what I have been looking for! Only problem is that it does not "Start Closed" itself.

Nevermind, it works! My mistake.

Just a few notes. Wait a moment or two after configuring the "start closed" or "start hidden" checkboxes. I will add a status box soon telling when it has updated the settings. Also, if you haven't figured it out, you are only able to rearrange the modules when they are expanded. Other than that, I have found no problems. If anyone has a suggestion or a bug, email me.

Wow, I agree with LOUiS - amazing! This will help me deal with modules like Ask Yahoo! and Quote of the Day - things that only update once per day and just kind of take up space after I've already seen them. It's very simple to use too.

note to users. my domain name is being transferred right now, all services should be back up within a few hours. sorry about the outage.
– Matthew Pegler 46 months ago
The domain name has resolved where I am, may be a little while longer for where you are, but Google does have a cache of the module, so it should have never actually gone down.

It erased all of my data on my sticky-postit note module. :-/

I did a further test Everytime I enter something in Sticky Notes module then refresh, it get wiped clean. NOT good. Nice concept but need to fix this bug.

I just installed the sticky notes modules, and I edited the text. I then refreshed several times, expanded and collapsed the modules, and hid the module on startup. Not once did it clear my data. I checked that module's source, and I see no conflicts. That modules is entirely self contained and does not address any of the parts that this module uses. Please try some more tests, and let me know. Make sure you click out of the edit box on the sticky notes modules and wait a second or two for the setting to be saved in that module. Then refresh. If it persists, send me your browser info and I'll see if I can recreate the problem.

Freakin Rocks!

Update: the module now should work without causing problems with other modules. It no longer changes the HTML of the modules, but hides the module and creates another psaudo-module that has just the header. This also allowed me to enable drag and dropping of collapsed modules. If anyone has problems with this, let me know. Thanks.

Just added a 'memory' to the system. You can tell the module to 'remember' the state of the modules when you left. So if you collapse a module, then X out, when you come back, that module will be collapsed. The setting defaults to off. When turned off you specify which modules to expand on startup.
